i really had to dig to find this one…ok, it was under the bed. i’ll admit it. under the bed, i have a container full of clothes that i haven’t been able to part with. (i won’t mention all of the containers i still have in atlanta full of t-shirts.) in this container are various forms of embarrassment. there are the ultra pink shirts (not pink in color, but this was the brand name…anyone remember it?) that i wore all through high school, the dress from senior week in college that had this *really cool* chain link belt, the calvin klein jeans circa 1989 that i was sure would become a collector’s item and then…there is this dress. this is the dress i wore to homecoming my sophomore year of high school. i LOVED this dress. it’s layers and layers of taffeta, ribbon and appliques. it must weigh 10 pounds…and even though i showed up in this monstrosity, the guy who was my date is still one of my best friends. i think he forgave me for taking up the whole car with the layered skirt. i would happily continue the embarrassment and post the picture from the dance too, but alas my scanner doesn’t work. convenient huh?

taffeta. twkt.
O.M.G. – the things i could say about this dress! I’m sure you looked absolutely lovely!
