holidays, hips & housekeeping.

happy early Thanksgiving to everyone! we are having our turkey tonight – i can’t wait! in the 5 Thanksgivings we have celebrated in CA, i have yet to find anyone who also likes the canned, processed, cranberry stuff. my mother-in-law has to remember to buy a can just for me every year. Thanksgiving wishes are early this year because I am headed for hip surgery tomorrow…again. only this time, it’s the other hip. i guess this is what happens when you are a tri-athlete. i’m guessing because i am so far from that it isn’t funny. i am still the cookie eating, exercise is best had walking from nordstrom to neimans kind of gal. this is just the way the cookie crumbles…or my hip rather. HA.

now for the housekeeping….since i will be hobbling around for the next few months, i won’t be blogging much. i’ve decided this means the end of TWKT too. not because there isn’t anything to show (i’ve barely even tackled one of JC’s drawers) but because it will be too hard for me to dig stuff out, photograph it and put it back…although i should be throwing stuff out i suppose. oops. guess i missed the whole point of the exercise! (it always comes back to exercise doesn’t it? lol.)

happy Thanksgiving!! stay tuned for BIG BIG changes at alyson cohen photography!

Alyson - Well…the surgery was a success…can’t say the same for the turkey. NO amount of jellied cranberry could save it. Ooops.

Patrick Farrington - The jellied cranberry sauce is also a key component in the perfect turkey sandwich.

Good luck with the surgery. Make sure that husband of yours is at your beck and call.

Jo-Anne Kyle - Happy Thanksgiving! Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Alyson - Nope. No homemade goodness here. It’s like the Velveeta of Thanksgiving! Thanks!

julie - Allison, happy thanksgiving. I hope the surgery goes well. Let me know if I can help in any way. BTW, I like the canned cranberry stuff too. But of course, I like my mom’s better.

Alyson - Thanks, Paul!! I might need a cannoli. Ha.

Paul Rumohr - Best of luck Alyson, if you need ANYTHING while you’re recovering please don’t hesitate to call.
